Soaking up Colorado.

With just one week left to take in Colorado’s mountainous beauty, I’ve got a couple of trips planned. One was a drive up to Pike’s Peak summit.  The featured photo is at Crystal Reservoir, half way up the 14,115′ giant. Nero, my 105 pit-mastiff tore his ACL about a week after we arrived in Colorado so he hasn’t been on any hikes since we got here. He got to enjoy the scenic drive with me, he loves taking rides.

While it was 40 degrees in town, it was only 5 degrees at the summit! Despite the freezing cold temperature, and the white knuckle driving with no guard rail, there’s no feeling like standing on top of a mountian. I felt like I was on top of the world.

Here’s some photos!
